The new Montessori school is being built on the Seidlkreuz, a settlement in the town of Eichstätt high above the Altmühl valley. The building is situated on a slight northern slope with a view over the undeveloped Jura plateau.
The school is accessed in the south via Kardinal-Schröffer-Straße and the schoolyard, which is open to the west. The south side facing the small-scale residential development is single-storey and rises with the sloping hillside to the north to form a two-storey building.
The schoolyard, which is open to the west, is surrounded by the public and administrative areas. From here, there is a view over the undeveloped area of the Jura plateau.
The school is being built as a timber structure in two construction phases.
