Palais Mai was founded in May 2005 by Ina-Maria Schmidbauer, Patrick von Ridder and Peter Scheller. Since 2020, the office has been managed by Patrick von Ridder and Peter Scheller.

As architects and urban planners, we deal with projects that address structural form, spatial conception and urban development. We believe in process and design, with the understanding that urban planning and architecture cannot be separated. The contexts of a project are an essential inspiration for our work.

Engaging with the city on a variety of levels plays an important role. Using imaginative platforms, Palais Mai engages in discussions about urban form, urban development and visions for the future. Palais Mai points out possibilities and creates imagined developments for the city as well as real buildings in a concise form.
